Full Job Description

Artonomy, Inc. is a downtown-based art design company looking for a Full-time Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting and administrative functions. This position is responsible for accurately recording financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, reconciling accounts, assisting with payroll and HR-related tasks, and providing administrative support to management.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Administration

· Process and pay supplier invoices in a timely manner.

· Record financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and other accounting activity in QuickBooks.

· Manage accounts payable and assist with ensuring accounts receivable are collected promptly.

· Record cash receipts and prepare bank deposits.

· Reconcile all bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.

· Maintain accurate and organized financial records and accounting files.

· Collect, track, and remit applicable sales taxes.

· Assist with compliance related to local, state, and federal reporting requirements.

· Provide financial information and documentation to the company's external accountant as requested.

· Follow established accounting policies and procedures and help maintain consistent financial processes.

Payroll & Human Resources Support

· Assist with processing payroll accurately and on time.

· Provide administrative support for employee records and other HR-related matters.

· Assist management with day-to-day HR needs and employee-related administrative tasks.

Administrative Support

· Provide general clerical and administrative support to management as needed.

· Maintain organized office and financial filing systems.

· Assist with internal communications, documentation, and other office administration.

· Support special projects and additional responsibilities as needed or requested.

Qualifications & Skills

· Experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration preferred.

· Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office or similar business software is preferred.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· Basic understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and financial recordkeeping.

· Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information with discretion.

· Ability to work independently while also supporting a collaborative team environment.
