Accounts Receivable Specialist

Braden Automotive Group – Corporate Accounting Office

Chillicothe, OH Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Pay: $17.00-$24.00 per hour, based on experience

Braden Automotive Group is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our centralized accounting team at our corporate office in downtown Chillicothe, Ohio.

This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys problem-solving, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, values teamwork, and is committed to maintaining strong customer and dealership relationships while ensuring timely and accurate collections and posting activities.

What You'll Do

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the cash flow of our dealership operations.

Key Responsibilities

Process and post customer, manufacturer, and vendor payments accurately and timely
Maintain and reconcile customer and dealership accounts receivable balances
Monitor accounts and follow up on outstanding balances in a professional manner
Research and resolve payment discrepancies, chargebacks, and account issues
Prepare, review, and distribute account statements as needed
Reconcile schedules and accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist with month-end closing and reporting activities
Work closely with dealership personnel and management to resolve accounting issues
Maintain organized and accurate records in accordance with company policies and internal controls
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Support the accounting team with additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Required

Previous Accounts Receivable, Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeping, or related accounting experience
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting systems
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred

Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
Automotive dealership accounting experience
Experience working with multiple locations or high-volume transactions
Knowledge of reconciliations, schedules, and month-end accounting processes
