Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Production Manager to join our team during the night shift. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to make their mark in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production during the night shift, ensuring efficiency, safety, and productivity. This role involves a high level of responsibility and requires a candidate with a strong background in inventory management. The successful candidate will be working closely with other department managers to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

Oversee all night shift operations, ensuring that production targets are met efficiently and on time.
Implement and maintain inventory management systems to ensure that all materials are accounted for and replenished as necessary.
Collaborate with other department managers to streamline processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
Ensure that all production equipment is maintained and functioning optimally, scheduling repairs and replacements as necessary.
Uphold the highest standards of health and safety, ensuring that all staff are trained and compliant.
Regularly review and analyze production data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
Develop and maintain a positive, productive work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Manage and develop night shift staff, providing training, feedback, and support to ensure high performance.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within the manufacturing industry.
Proven experience with inventory management, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions.
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations within the manufacturing industry.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with other department managers.
Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office and inventory management systems.
A degree in business management, engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to the changing needs of the business.
