Bilingual skills in English and Mandarin/Cantonese, including speaking, reading, and writing, highly preferred but not required

FULL DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounting Assistant/Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, administrative, and office functions. This role is responsible for assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations, inventory tracking, office supply management, company event coordination, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have accounting or bookkeeping experience, Microsoft Excel skills, basic accounting software experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to support a collaborative, team-oriented office environment.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Handling day-to-day bookkeeping functions
Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Reconciling bank accounts and credit card statements
Assisting with inventory tracking
Supporting office supply management
Coordinating and planning company events as needed
Maintaining accurate financial records
Assisting with administrative projects as needed
Entering and updating accounting and bookkeeping information
Reviewing financial records for accuracy and completeness
Supporting basic accounting software or system updates
Communicating professionally with internal team members and external contacts as needed
Maintaining organized files, records, and documentation
Supporting general office workflow and team needs
Performing other duties as assigned

The selected candidate will also possess:

1 to 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
Experience with Microsoft Excel required
Experience with basic accounting software or accounting systems preferred
Accounts payable experience preferred
Accounts receivable experience preferred
Bank and credit card reconciliation experience preferred
Inventory tracking experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong time management abilities
Dependable and professional work habits
Ability to maintain accurate financial records
Ability to support administrative projects as needed
Ability to work in a collaborative and supportive team environment
Bilingual skills in English and Mandarin/Cantonese, including speaking, reading, and writing, highly preferred but not required
Ability to work onsite in City of Industry, CA
Ability to work a stable Monday through Friday schedule

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods while completing data entry, reviewing financial records, updating accounting information, and working in Excel
Ability to communicate by phone, email, and in person throughout the workday
Ability to review invoices, statements, reconciliation records, financial documents, inventory records, office documents, emails, and computer screens for extended periods
Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, filing, scanning, documentation, and standard office tasks
Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the office as needed
Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move standard office files, documents, supplies, or small office materials
