Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of Machine Operation; including set-up and operation of manual and CNC machines, including mills, lathes, presses etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The responsibilities listed below are not intended to be all-inclusive.

Operations of CNC machining across multi-axis or multiple CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.

Contributes to the production of all Rogers Group products by operating and performing set-ups on CNC machines

Responsible for completing assigned jobs independently from start to finish across many machining platforms.

Runs multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as Lathes, Mills in addition to operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with little supervision.

Utilities Inventor CAM software for creating 2.5 – 5-axis mill and mill-turn toolpath strategies.

Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance

Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets

Makes adjustments to machines without supervision

Troubleshoots problems and escalates to technical experts and leadership as necessary.

Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers and community.

Support quality compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms.

Completes all required training
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Must possess a high school diploma or GED.

Subject matter expert at reading blueprints and a tape measure.

Three (3) + years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment (required).

Familiar with Inventor CAM.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
-
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language.
-
Associate must have the ability to communicate internally and externally effectively and efficiently.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
-
Must possess basic math skills.
-
Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry.
REASONING ABILITY:
-
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with the variety of situations.
PHYSICAL SKILLS:
-
Agility of the upper and lower body extremities, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Able to walk and stand for several hours.
-
Must be aware of forklift traffic presence and have visual alertness at corners and doorways.
Additional Job Information:
The environment is active and fast-paced, with fabrication and production operating throughout the day. Expect a mix of physical activity and equipment use, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts to move materials and keep operations flowing.
