Order Processing Specialist

Full-Time | Wholesale Distribution Company

Join Our Team

We are a growing wholesale distribution company seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Order Processing Specialist to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our customers receive accurate, timely service while supporting our warehouse and shipping operations.

Position Summary

As our Order Processing Specialist, you'll be responsible for processing customer orders, communicating with customers regarding order status, coordinating with our warehouse team, and preparing shipping documentation. You'll also assist with a variety of office and operational projects that help keep our business running efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Answer customer phone calls and emails regarding order status, shipping updates, and product availability.
Create and manage FedEx shipping labels and shipping documentation.
Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Resolve order discrepancies and shipping issues professionally.
Maintain accurate customer, order, and shipping records.
Monitor orders from entry through shipment to ensure customer satisfaction.
Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
Support daily office operations and collaborate with team members across departments.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable communicating professionally by phone and email.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with FedEx Ship Manager or similar shipping software is preferred.
Experience with ERP systems, order entry, inventory software, or wholesale distribution is a plus.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

2+ years of experience in customer service, order processing, administrative support, or a wholesale distribution environment.
Experience working with shipping carriers, inventory systems, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
