Full Job Description

Job Overview

AGPRO manufactures agricultural equipment used by farmers across the Pacific Northwest. We are expanding our machining capability and are looking for a machinist who enjoys problem solving and working on a variety of parts rather than running the same production job every day.

Our machining department supports production parts, prototype development, and repair work for agricultural equipment.

This position involves operating both CNC and manual machines and working closely with engineering to produce high-quality parts and improve manufacturing processes.

Machines in Our Shop

Haas VF-4SS Vertical Machining Center
Mori Seiki Duraturn 2050 CNC Lathe
Manual Lathe
Manual Milling Machine
Climax Line Boring

We use Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360 for design and CAM programming.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes
Modify or write CNC programs when needed
Perform manual machining on lathe and mill
Machine parts for production equipment and prototypes
Work from mechanical drawings or existing parts
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
Assist with fixturing and machining process improvements
Work with the engineering team on new parts and designs

Experience

Ideal candidates will have experience with:

CNC machining (mill and/or lathe)
Manual machining
Reading mechanical drawings
Using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
CAM programming
Job shop, prototype, or repair machining environments

Helpful but not required:

Experience with Inventor or Fusion 360
Fixture design or process improvements
Fabrication or welding experience

Takes pride in producing accurate work
Comfortable working on different types of parts
Able to work independently in a small shop environment
Interested in building real equipment used in agriculture
