Business Development Executive — Recruiting & Workforce Solutions

Focus: Oil & Gas, Engineering Projects, Datacenters
Location: Fully remote; Texas-based preferred
Engagement: Independent contractor
Compensation: 40% commission with no earnings cap, this is a 1099 role for now.
Ramp Support: Optional recoverable draw for up to three months

The Opportunity

We are not looking for someone who needs a lead list, a script, and six months of training before making a call.

We are looking for a hunter.

You already know people in oil and gas, engineering solutions, construction, or data centers. You have relationships with executives, hiring managers, project leaders, and decision-makers. You understand how the industry works, where the talent problems are, and how to turn a conversation into a signed agreement.

You may already have a book of business—or a strong network of relationships you can lawfully develop—and you are tired of producing revenue while layers of management keep most of the money.

At Vader-Rey, you will earn 40% commission with no earnings cap.

You bring in the client. Our recruiter completes the search. You keep selling.

No Corporate Red Tape

This is not a large staffing company where every client decision requires three meetings and approval from someone who has never spoken to the customer.

You will have direct access to the CEO.

If you identify an opportunity, need pricing guidance, want to discuss an unusual agreement, or see a way to grow an account, you can go directly to the person who can make the decision.

We move quickly. We communicate directly. We solve problems without turning everything into a committee meeting.

Our work environment is casual, but our expectations are not. We care about results, responsiveness, client relationships, and doing what we say we are going to do. We do not care about corporate theater.

Your Role

This is a sales and business-development position.

You will be responsible for:

Opening new client relationships
Reconnecting with relationships already in your network
Identifying hiring and workforce needs
Leading discovery calls
Presenting Vader-Rey’s recruiting and workforce solutions
Negotiating terms and securing signed agreements
Qualifying each opportunity before handing it to recruiting
Maintaining the commercial client relationship
Expanding accounts into additional roles, departments, locations, and services
Keeping an organized and accurate pipeline
Representing Vader-Rey professionally in the market

You will not be expected to spend your day sourcing candidates, reviewing résumés, or coordinating every interview.

We already have a recruiting team to complete the project.

Your job is to find the business, win the business, and grow the business, and get paid.

Compensation

This opportunity pays a flat 40% commission with no earnings cap.

For direct-hire placements, commissions are calculated from placement fees collected by Vader-Rey. For contractor, engineering, virtual-professional, and other recurring engagements, commissions are calculated from collected gross profit after direct service-delivery costs.

Commissions are paid after Vader-Rey receives payment from the client and are subject to the final commission agreement, including guarantee-period adjustments, refunds, credits, cancellations, and chargebacks.

There is no complicated commission ladder. You do not have to wait years to qualify for the top percentage.

You produce. You earn 40%.

Optional Draw

We are willing to provide a recoverable draw for up to three months to help the right person transition into the role.

The draw is an advance against future commissions—not a salary or additional compensation.

If you are an ace with an active network and real opportunities, you may not need it.

Candidates who do not require a draw can begin immediately under the same 40% commission structure.

Who We Want

We want someone who:

Has a strong existing book of business or established industry relationships
Has meaningful experience in oil and gas
Understands recruiting, staffing, engineering services, consulting, or workforce solutions
Knows how to reach senior decision-makers
Has a demonstrated record of opening accounts and closing business
Can generate opportunities without waiting for inbound leads
Is comfortable prospecting through calls, email, referrals, networking, and industry relationships
Wants autonomy and direct access to leadership
Prefers a casual, entrepreneurial environment over a heavily layered corporate structure
Works independently and follows through without constant supervision
Wants to retain a larger share of the revenue they create

We are not asking anyone to violate a confidentiality, non-solicitation, non-compete, or other contractual obligation. We want someone with genuine industry credibility and relationships they are legally permitted to pursue.
