Position Summary

Raimondi Plumbing is seeking an experienced, licensed new construction plumber to support active residential and commercial building projects in the Tampa Bay area. This assignment is filled through a local staffing agency, with the opportunity to convert to a longer-term or permanent role based on performance and project needs.

The plumber will perform rough-in, installation, and finish work on new construction sites, work independently or as part of a crew, and coordinate with other trades while maintaining Florida Building Code and local inspection standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install water supply, drain-waste-vent (DWV), and related piping during the rough-in phase of new residential and commercial construction.
Set and connect fixtures, water heaters, and other plumbing components in later construction phases.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings.
Ensure all work meets Florida plumbing codes, local amendments, and inspection requirements.
Coordinate with general contractors, framers, electricians, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
Perform quality checks, pressure tests, and prepare systems for inspections.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site; use and maintain tools and equipment properly.
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Current valid plumbing license or certification accepted in Florida (Pinellas County Journeyman Plumber certificate, Florida Certified or Registered Plumbing Contractor license, or equivalent that allows work under a licensed contractor).
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in new construction plumbing (residential and/or commercial).
Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code plumbing provisions and local Pinellas County requirements.
Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work in hot, humid outdoor conditions typical of the Tampa Bay area.
Physical ability to lift 50–80+ lbs, work in trenches, crawl spaces, on ladders/scaffolds, and stand/walk for extended periods.
Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening (standard for construction sites).
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate clearly with supervisors and other trades.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience on multi-family or larger commercial new construction projects.
Additional certifications (backflow, medical gas, or similar).
Own a complete set of plumbing hand tools.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Compensation and Schedule

Competitive hourly rate based on experience and licensing. Typical market range in the Tampa Bay area for licensed new-construction plumbers is the mid-to-high $20s to mid-$30s per hour, with overtime opportunities.

This is a temporary assignment with consistent weekday hours and possible weekend or overtime work depending on project schedules. The staffing agency will handle payroll and onboarding.

A licensed plumber who prefers new-construction work over service and repair calls, is comfortable on active job sites, and wants steady project-based work in a growing Tampa Bay market.

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
