Full Job Description

TITLE: CNC Lathe/Mill Operator

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

COMPANY NAME: Auto-Numatic Corporation, leading manufacturer in outdoor sporting good products based in Texas and Tennessee.

POSITION SUMMARY: Our company is searching for a talented and experienced CNC machine operator to oversee our computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines. You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards.

Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling.

2. Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly

3. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

Machine parts from a wide variety of materials in small to medium sizes per dimensioned drawings.
Check parts by using measuring equipment supplied.
Able to read all blueprints provided with the job and make sure that you understand all features and characteristics.
Take care of all tooling issues by recognizing tool wear and replacing or changing worn tools when needed.
Maintain a clean/orderly work area and always pay full attention to detail

REQUISITE CHARACTERISTICS:

High School Diploma or GED
Proven experience as a multi axis CNC operator 3+ years
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
Familiar with Fanuc controls
CNC Lathe or Mill experience including live tool, twin spindle with twin turret machines, and knowledge of G and M codes. Experience on dual path mill-turn machines a plus. 5 Axis mill experience on Hass UMC500 or Doosan lathe experience a benefit.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-starter, with ability to work independently, yet capable of adapting themselves to various business cultures and management teams.
Experience reading and interpreting engineered blueprints and geometric tolerancing knowledge.
A strong desire to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude
Experience running Doosan dual spindle and turret machines
Familiar with bar fed lathes
