Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care, assist with daily living activities, and support the health and well-being of our diverse patient population. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable environment for patients, especially those in geriatric, memory care, hospice, or developmental disability settings. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working in a supportive and professional environment.

Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts
Monitor and observe patients’ health status by taking vital signs, recording medical information accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems, and reporting changes to nursing staff
Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, ensuring respectful and compassionate support
Administer medications following home healthcare regulations and medical documentation protocols while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
Support patients during end-of-life care or hospice services by offering emotional comfort and physical assistance in a respectful manner
Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, or basic life support (BLS) including CPR when necessary
Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and ensuring infection control standards are met

Qualifications

Valid certification as a Nurse Aide (CNA) recognized by state licensing boards
Proven experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and record keeping
Knowledge of medical terminology, patient transfer methods, and medication administration procedures
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly preferred
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in home healthcare or community care settings
