Mobile Advanced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (PRN)

Orlando, FL and Greater Orlando Area

Please Note: This is a PRN position. The compensation range listed is a per-visit rate, not an hourly wage.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Mobile Advanced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide specialized advanced wound care in patients' homes, assisted living communities, and other healthcare settings throughout Orlando, Florida, with flexibility and willingness to travel to select areas of the Greater Orlando area as needed.

This role is ideal for a provider with prior advanced wound care experience who enjoys working independently while collaborating closely with an experienced multidisciplinary team to deliver outstanding patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and detailed wound evaluations.
Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based advanced wound care practices.
Provide advanced wound treatments, including sharp and enzymatic debridement, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), biologic and cellular tissue products, compression therapy, advanced dressings, infection management, and other appropriate interventions.
Educate patients and caregivers on advanced wound care, prevention, and healing strategies.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals, with regular case review meetings primarily with the Medical Director and weekly sessions with a Clinical Coach.
Monitor healing progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation that reflects comprehensive clinical assessments and supports high-quality patient care.
Stay current on best practices and advancements in advanced wound care modalities.

Qualifications

Current Florida Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
Previous advanced wound care experience is required.
Advanced Wound Care Certification is preferred but not required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a supportive team.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Orlando, FL area.
