Bright Path Homes is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized House Manager to lead the daily operations of Cardinal House, our 5-bed Qualified Residential Treatment Program (QRTP) serving youth ages 10–17 in the Cleveland area.

This is more than a management position—it's an opportunity to help build a high-quality residential program from the ground up. As one of our first House Managers, you will play a key leadership role in establishing a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while helping shape the future of our growing organization. Position Summary

The House Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the residential program, ensuring exceptional care for residents while maintaining compliance with state licensing, accreditation standards, and agency policies. This position directly supervises direct care staff, coordinates with clinical and community partners, and ensures the home operates efficiently, safely, and in alignment with Bright Path Homes' mission.

Key Responsibilities-
Leadership & Staff Management

Recruit, supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate direct care staff across all shifts.
Develop and maintain staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and compliance with staffing requirements.
Lead shift huddles, team meetings, and ongoing staff development activities.
Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented workplace culture.

Program Operations

Oversee the daily operation of the residence, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment for youth.
Monitor implementation of individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team.
Ensure all resident documentation is accurate, timely, and meets agency and regulatory standards.
Manage household operations, including purchasing supplies, meal planning, inventory, and facility upkeep.
Monitor program quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with:
Ohio Department of Children and Youth (DCY) licensing requirements
The Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation standards
Agency policies and procedures
Conduct regular record reviews and documentation audits.
Lead incident response, reporting, corrective actions, and follow-up.
Participate in the agency's on-call rotation as needed.

Collaboration & Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for caseworkers, families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.
Work closely with the Clinical Director and Program Director to coordinate resident care, treatment planning, admissions, and discharges.
Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to support positive outcomes for youth.

Required Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working in residential treatment, foster care, behavioral health, juvenile justice, or child welfare
Official college transcripts required upon hire.
Valid Ohio driver's license with an insurable driving record
Ability to pass BCI and FBI background checks in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 2151.86
Strong leadership, organizational, documentation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Proficiency using electronic documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in social work, Psychology, Human Services, Criminal Justice, Education, or a closely related field
At least one year of supervisory or management experience
Knowledge of Ohio child welfare regulations, QRTP requirements, trauma-informed care, and residential treatment best practices
Experience with accreditation standards such as The Joint Commission (TJC)
