Job Summary
The Oven Operator supports the Production Supervisor by performing oven and production-related duties under the direction of the management team. This role is responsible for running cook cycles correctly, meeting critical control points, and keeping accurate records to ensure every batch of product meets our quality and food-safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage oven mapping by measuring water activities.
- Monitor oven performance by starting the correct cook cycles/schedules, tracking cook time, and reaching CCPs.
- Handle and remove products from the oven after product reaches CCP and acceptable water activities.
- Maintain and record oven-related data on written documents and on the board.
- Assist the Production Supervisor with tasks as needed.
- Answer team member questions, help with team member problems, and support team member work for quality, food safety, and personal safety compliance.
- Enforce company policies and procedures on the production floor.
- Attend company meetings as needed and complete other projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computer skills.

- Ability to routinely push/pull trucks and carts filled with product ranging from 400 to 1,000 pounds.
- Ability to routinely lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and clean overhead structures.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Works near or with moving mechanical parts.
- Exposed to wet, cold, hot, and/or humid conditions.
- Ability to work in environments ranging from 35°F to 120°F.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderately noisy.
