The Painter/Mfg Support- 1st Shift will be based at the Cleves location. The hours are Monday – Thursday from 5:00am-3:00pm.
JOB SUMMARY: The Painter/Mfg Support is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing manufactured components to meet customer specifications and company quality standards. This position performs all aspects of the finishing process, including surface preparation, mixing coatings, applying paint, curing, inspection, and packaging as required. The Painter is expected to maintain a safe and efficient work environment while supporting production schedules. Due to varying production demands, this position also requires flexibility to perform work in other manufacturing areas such as assembly, saw operations, or general manufacturing support

Operational Responsibilities
- Prepare parts for painting by cleaning, masking, sanding, and staging materials.
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
- Apply coatings using spray equipment and other approved application methods.
- Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and finish quality.
- Load and unload parts from curing racks or drying systems.
- Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Perform touch-up and rework when required.
- Maintain paint inventory and notify supervision of material shortages.
- Complete required production reporting and job tracking using company computer systems, while promptly communicating any production or quality issues to your Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of spray equipment and paint booth systems.
- Follow hazardous material handling procedures and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Assist in assembly, saw operations, material handling, or other manufacturing departments as production requirements dictate.
- Driving and moving material via forklift and other modes of transportation from one area to the next.
- Maintains reliable and regular attendance.
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining the company's standards of 95% efficiency and 70% throughput.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5S and company safety standards.
- Communicate production, quality, or equipment issues promptly to supervisors.
- Complete required production reporting and job tracking using company computer systems, while promptly communicating any production or quality issues to your Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of spray equipment and paint booth systems.
- Follow hazardous material handling procedures and maintain regulatory compliance.

Physical Requirements
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Lift up to 50 pounds independently and heavier loads using mechanical assistance.
- Wear respirators and other required personal protective equipment.
- Work in environments involving paint fumes, noise, heat, and varying temperatures while following all safety requirements.
- Perform repetitive motions associated with painting and material handling.
Candidate Requirements
- High school diploma
- Basic MIG welding experience required
- Experience with Industrial style Painting
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
