Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to safely operate, program, and maintain our flatbed and tube laser cutting equipment. This position is responsible for producing high-quality parts, maintaining production efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate will have laser operating experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Laser Operation & Production

Operate flatbed and tube laser cutting equipment safely and efficiently
Set up, program, and adjust laser equipment to meet production requirements
Load and unload material using appropriate lifting devices and material handling equipment
Ensure all parts are produced accurately and meet customer specifications
Verify product quality using white samples, drawings, and production documentation
Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and work instructions
Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
Remove burrs and ensure finished products meet quality standards
Operate additional metal fabrication equipment, including brakes and shears, as required

Quality & Continuous Improvement

Inspect completed work before releasing it to the next production stage
Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and waste reduction programs
Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and workflow efficiency
Support efforts to maintain and improve equipment uptime and performance

Safety & Team Support

Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Report hazards, equipment concerns, or safety issues immediately
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Support and assist with training new team members as needed
Practice safe and proper use of machinery, tools, and equipment
Promote a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
CNC or manufacturing-related education preferred
Minimum of 1–2 years of laser operating experience required
Trumpf laser experience preferred
Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Ability to accurately read a tape measure and use measuring tools
Basic computer skills and ability to navigate Windows-based software
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
Reliable transportation required
Steel toe boots required
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment background and drug screenings
