Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are a family with several small businesses. Looking for a person with accounting/bookkeeping experience to use QuickBooks and help us keep track of spending/income, check register, filing invoices and work with our tax CPA at year end. . Need to create balance sheet, P+L etc and reconcile bank statements. Depending upon experience and your desire, even assist us with future planning and growth.

To start we are anticipating 2-5 hours per week (1 day or half day per week) and quickly ramping up to a full 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management using financial software such as QuickBooks
Reconcile balance sheets and perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling financial data with precision and integrity
Utilize Excel data analysis skills to generate reports, analyze trends, and improve accounting workflows.

Qualifications

Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks
Knowledge of financial systems such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel spreadsheets), accounting systems integration, and data entry accuracy.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Coachella, CA 92236
