Full Job Description

Northwest Communities is looking for a Bookkeeper to add to our team. We are a small company invested in our customers and our employees.

Experience and Skills

· Accounting basics

· Knowledge of community associations preferred

· Ability to multitask

· Friendly Customer Service

· Experience with QuickBooks desktop preferred

· Must be computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

· Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in written communications

· Proper use of grammar and spelling required

· Organization Skills

· Ability to handle a fast-paced environment

· Ability to take constructive criticism

· Ability to efficiently prioritize tasks

· A solid grasp of double-entry bookkeeping, accrual vs. cash account, and GAAP standards

Responsibilities

· Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR): Managing vendor invoices, processing payments, issuing invoices, and tracking collections

· General Ledger & Journal Entries: Categorizing daily transactions and maintaining accurate debits and credits.

· Bank & Account Reconciliation: Matching internal financial records with bank statements to identify discrepancies.

· Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly income statements, balance sheets, and budget performance.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
