About the Opportunity

Are you an entrepreneurial marketing leader who wants to connect business growth with meaningful environmental impact? Compost Crew seeks a Marketing Director to lead company-wide marketing strategy for our top-rated composting services/products. As the company’s senior marketing leader, you’ll own the marketing strategy from planning through execution. You’ll shape our brand, drive market education and most importantly generate high‑quality Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) across commercial, residential, and municipal segments. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in an environment that values accountability, curiosity and respect – someone who is expert in strategy development, hands‑on execution and achievement of measurable results for rapid growth.

Join Compost Crew and be the architect of our marketing function. Build the roadmap to maximize team results, including improvements to LTV and CAC. You’ll start as the personal owner of campaign planning and execution while you develop scalable, cost-effective systems/resources for cross‑selling, geographic expansion and new customer acquisition.

Does This Describe You?

At least 6 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within B2B or B2C services, sustainability, waste management, logistics or a related industry
Demonstrated success driving MQL growth, digital marketing performance, and multi‑channel campaigns
Experience managing both digital and traditional marketing programs
Strong portfolio of marketing collateral development and content leadership
Expertise with in‑person marketing, field marketing, or community engagement
Expertise in building or scaling a marketing function in a growth‑stage company.
Strong strategic thinking paired with willingness to execute hands‑on work
Expertise in CRM systems, marketing automation, analytics tools, and digital advertising platforms
Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Passion for sustainability, circular economy, or environmental services

What You’ll Accomplish

Growth in MQL volume and quality across all business lines
Improved conversion rates from digital channels, advertising, and campaigns
Increased brand awareness and market penetration in target geographies
Successful cross‑sell performance between hauling, compost sales, and e‑commerce
Scalable marketing systems and processes established
High‑performing marketing resource stack built and developed

What You’ll Do

Develop and own strategic leadership/marketing vision
Build and execute full‑funnel demand generation strategy that drives MQLs
Lead small marketing team, manage marketing operations and build out marketing resource stack
Directly plan and execute marketing campaigns initially
Define brand identity, messaging and education for market segments
Analyze market segments for growth opportunities
Oversee digital presence, social media presence, marketing content, marketing collateral and engagement strategies
Develop marketing strategies to increase cross-sell rates among business lines
Support geographic expansion with marketing campaigns/initiatives
Collaborate to pilot and launch new offerings

Compensation and Benefits

Competitive annualized salary of $100,000–$175,000 (actual compensation will be determined by accomplishments and capabilities)
