Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized bilingual Apartment Manager to lead the daily operations of our residential community. In this pivotal role, you will oversee leasing activities, property maintenance, tenant relations, and administrative functions to ensure a vibrant, well-managed living environment. Your proactive approach and exceptional customer service skills will foster positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community quality while developing your expertise in property management.

Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of leasing, including showing units, processing applications, and executing lease or rental agreements efficiently.
Oversee property maintenance requests, coordinate repairs, and ensure facilities are well-maintained and compliant with safety standards.
Maintain accurate records using property management tools such as RealPage, including rent collection, tenant files, and financial reports.
Enforce lease agreements, rent policies, and Fair Housing regulations to promote fair treatment for all residents.
Must be bilingual to handle tenant inquiries and resolve conflicts promptly through effective conflict management strategies.
Administer Section 8 housing programs and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) compliance requirements with precision.
Collaborate with team members to develop budgets, track expenses, and optimize operational efficiency.
Conduct regular property inspections to uphold quality standards and coordinate property maintenance or improvements as needed.
Communicate professionally with clients via phone and email, providing exceptional customer service while upselling additional services or amenities when appropriate.
Ensure compliance with landlord-tenant law and legal administrative procedures related to property management activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in property management administrative roles; experience with property management companies is highly valued.
Strong proficiency in property management software such as RealPage and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC compliance, and Section 8 housing programs.
Excellent conflict management skills coupled with the ability to negotiate contracts and resolve disputes effectively.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams efficiently while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, filing, reporting, and client communication.
Exceptional customer service skills with a professional phone etiquette approach.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously within a fast-paced setting; experience in facilities management is a plus.
