Full Job Description

Position Summary

In support of our industrial manufacturing client in College Station, TX, we are in search of Multi-Craft Industrial Technicians to join our team.

The Multi-Craft Industrial Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment. This role requires expertise in multiple maintenance disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation systems. The technician works to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated systems.
Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective solutions to restore operations quickly.
Install, modify, and maintain motors, conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Perform electrical troubleshooting on motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, and related equipment.
Conduct welding, fabrication, and machining tasks as needed to support repairs.
Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, pumps, and regulators.
Assist with equipment upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to document work orders, maintenance activities, and equipment history.
Perform inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and electrical safety procedures.
Collaborate with production personnel to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Technical degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent industrial maintenance training preferred.
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing, processing, or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Experience troubleshooting industrial controls and automation systems.
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and industrial automation.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PLCs such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric.
Knowledge of robotics, automated material handling systems, and vision systems.
Welding and fabrication experience.
Industrial electrical certification or journeyman license.
Experience using CMMS software.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to work at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
Ability to respond to emergency breakdown situations.
