What’s The Role?

Working as a Deputy Court Clerk, you can expect to play a key role in supporting the daily operations of Municipal Court by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the accurate processing of court records, financial transactions, and legal documentation. In this position, you will assist citizens, attorneys, law enforcement personnel, and court officials by providing information regarding court procedures, case statuses, fees, and required documentation; process payments for fines, fees, and other court-related services; maintain financial records and prepare deposits; and manage a variety of court documents and case files. Responsibilities also include scheduling traffic court cases, preparing dockets and court calendars, processing court proceedings and dispositions, maintaining criminal and financial case records, preparing legal notices and orders, coordinating information for judges and prosecutors, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with established court procedures. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced public service environment.

Minimum Requirements

Here is what you need to be considered for the position of Deputy Court Clerk:

High school diploma or GED; supplemented by four (4) years previous experience and/or training involving court procedures, legal office work, office administration, customer service, basic bookkeeping, record management, and personal computer operations; OR
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Valid Driver's License
