Join a dynamic dental practice as a Front Desk Dental Office Coordinator, where your energetic and organized approach will be the heartbeat of our patient experience! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk while providing exceptional customer service. Your expertise in medical administrative support, insurance verification, and electronic health records management will help us deliver top-quality dental care with efficiency and professionalism. Duties

Greet patients warmly, manage multi-line phone systems, and schedule appointments with precision using dental office management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft.
Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing utilizing systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies.
Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history information and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems like eClinicalWorks or Meditech.
Facilitate billing processes by managing medical billing, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and Medicare claims to ensure timely payments.
Support office operations by filing documents, managing appointment reminders, and coordinating patient flow efficiently.
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while providing outstanding customer service to patients and team members alike.

Requirements

Proven experience in a dental or medical front desk role with strong knowledge of dental terminology and health insurance procedures.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar platforms; experience with Epic or Meditech is a plus.
Familiarity with medical coding including ICD-10, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD coding standards, and documentation review processes.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing skills (10 key typing), and familiarity with office management software.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
Knowledge of health information management practices, medical billing procedures, insurance verification processes, and clinical confidentiality policies.
Previous clinic or dental office experience is preferred; hospital experience is advantageous but not required.
