Position Overview

We’re excited to welcome a passionate QMHP (or QMHP-T) to our Intensive In-Home team! In this role, you’ll be making a real impact every day by providing in-home support, building positive connections with children and families, and delivering interventions that spark growth, emotional regulation, and long-term success.

We serve children experiencing mental health challenges that affect their home life, school functioning, and social interactions. Our mission is to make sure every child feels heard, understood, supported, and capable of achieving their goals.

Our QMHPs are the heart of our agency—and that’s where you come in!

As our next QMHP, you’ll provide in-home visits, strengthen family dynamics, and help clients make meaningful progress toward independence.

Who You’ll Work With

This role is independent and flexible, while still allowing for strong support. You’ll work closely with your Supervisor and collaborate with the Office Manager, Clinical Director, and Executive Director.

Who We Are

We are a mental health agency specializing exclusively in Intensive In-Home services for children and adolescents. Our visits take place directly in the home, allowing us to understand each child’s environment and provide tailored behavioral and mental health interventions.

We typically meet with clients 3–5 times per week and work closely with parents to strengthen the entire family system. Our overarching goal: help children remain safely and successfully in their homes and avoid out-of-home placement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility is to conduct engaging, effective home visits and provide interventions aligned with each client’s service plan.

Additional responsibilities include:

Building strong rapport and trust with clients and families
Implementing interventions that align with the Individual Service Plan (ISP)
Creating a schedule that fits the client’s needs
Writing progress notes, quarterly reports, and service plans
Attending bi-weekly team meetings
Responding to emails promptly
Visiting the office weekly for signatures, paperwork, etc.

Position Requirements & Responsibilities

Bachelor’s in psychology, social work, counseling, or related human services field
Minimum 1 year of experience working with children
Must be registered as a Virginia QMHP or eligible to register
Valid VA driver’s license and insurance
Ability to develop and maintain Individual Service Plans
Ability to complete daily notes, quarterly reports, and discharge summaries
Maintain a caseload of 1–5 clients
Attend supervision and staff meetings
Availability for daytime, evening, and occasional weekend hours
Other duties as assigned

Starting Pay: $22.00/hour
