Full Job Description

Lead an Organization That Strengthens Families and Communities

Community Partnership Family Resource Center (CP) is seeking an experienced, visionary, and collaborative leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer. This is a unique opportunity to lead a respected nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening families and building a healthier community throughout Teller County and surrounding areas.

The CEO reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall leadership, management, sustainability, and success of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, relationship builder, and experienced nonprofit leader with a passion for serving families and strengthening communities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Lead implementation of the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan; collaborate with the Board and leadership team to establish long-term priorities; and ensure programs, services, and resources align with community needs.
Board Relations and Governance: Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors; support governance, development, recruitment, and engagement; provide timely and accurate information; and implement Board direction.
Organizational and Staff Leadership: Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, transparency, ethical decision-making, and integrity while leading and supporting senior leadership staff.
Financial Stewardship: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, audits, grants, internal controls, regulatory filings, and long-term financial sustainability.
Fundraising and Community Engagement: Serve as CP's chief ambassador and spokesperson; cultivate relationships with donors, funders, community partners, businesses, and government agencies; and lead fundraising, grant development, and resource development initiatives in partnership with the Board.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable laws, contracts, grant requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies while managing operational, financial, legal, and reputational risks.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree required.
Seven or more years of progressively responsible nonprofit leadership experience.
Demonstrated success in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and change management.
Experience with budgeting, financial management, grant administration, fundraising, and donor development.
Experience working with a Board of Directors and knowledge of nonprofit governance and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership, supervision, team development, communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills.
Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business technology.
Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, confidentiality, and discretion in complex organizational matters.
Commitment to working effectively with individuals and families from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and lived-experience backgrounds.
Ability to travel throughout Teller County with reliable transportation and government-issued identification.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and occasional weekends.

Preferred

Master's degree.
Experience leading a nonprofit organization with multiple programs, funding sources, and community partnerships.
Experience in family services, human services, child and family well-being, community development, or a related field.
