Full Job Description

Elevated Music Center (Centennial / Golden) is looking for an Assistant Business Operations Manager. This role would entail a wide range of responsibilities, spanning areas of customer service, student registration/scheduling, music retail sales, marketing, event planning, and various business management responsibilities. We are in need of someone who can work our normal business hours (1-8pm M-F, Sat 9-4) and about 20hrs/week to start with.

You must be an energetic, enthusiastic, customer-service oriented, computer literate individual to handle the wide variety of administrative and management tasks. You must have knowledge or experience in the Music Industry and at least 3 years experience in retail sales and management and/or experience with advanced scheduling applications. We are seeking individuals with at least a Bachelors degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience.

This is an opportunity to grow into higher leadership roles which will allow you to influence the direction of the business.

Elevated Music Center has been proudly serving the greater Denver and Boulder area for over 14 years. Joe took over ownership in 2019 and brought fresh new ideas, passion, technology, and a supporting, collaborative, fun teaching and learning environment. Our motto is “Discover the Music Within You”. We find joy in helping others discover their music. We teach all instruments, voice, composition, sound engineering, performance and Music Wellness. We welcome all ages, genres and styles. We are an approved dealer and retailer for Yamaha and Kala dealer and music retailer, carrying a large selection of instruments, accessories, and print music to support our students and community.

Candidate Qualifications and Requirements:

Provide EXCELLENT customer service (phone, email, walk-ins)
Computer literate. Be comfortable working in Microsoft Office applications as well as retail POS systems and advanced scheduling/calendar systems
Have at least 3 years previous experience with Retail sales and Management or advanced scheduling applications, preferably in the Music industry, or have the ability to demonstrate competence in all aspects of the role.
Must enjoy working with customers, students, and instructors of all ages and backgrounds
Must be mature, responsible, reliable, trustworthy, collaborative, organized, punctual and maintain an upbeat attitude at all times
Must be able to work 16-40 hrs a week

Preferred Skills:

Experience with music programs and education
Experience with early childhood education
Music wellness of any variety
Experience organizing events
Online marketing, social media campaigns, retail sales
above average reading/writing and communication skills
Experience with creating graphics and videos for online and printed material (e.g. Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Final Cut Pro).

Responsibilities:

Enroll, schedule, and reschedule new and current students
Respond to and follow up on customer inquiries
Handle general day-to-day operational duties as needed
Music lesson programs and activities: Be able to explain, answer questions, and promote our lesson program offerings and services.
Music Retail Sales: Provide retail sales for in-store items such as music instruments and accessories, music books and sheet music. Be able to explain and answer questions about our music retail goods (instruments, books, accessories, gear, etc..) and be able to promote and sell our products
Instrument Rentals: Have the ability to educate customers/students about our Instrument Rental program. Be able to work with our affiliate rental partner for all things related to renting a music instrument.
Help recruit and onboard new Instructors
Maintain a responsible, professional academic atmosphere and a creative musical learning environment
Be communicative, timely and responsive
Enforce the school policies
Ensure the music center is kept clean and organized

Compensation

Compensation is commensurate with experience. There is excellent growth opportunity for the right person as we grow and expand our Music Center.
