Summary:

The Corporate Legal Assistant provides administrative and legal support to the Law Department, including document preparation, research, and litigation tracking, while also conducting initial investigation and workup of claims filed against Club Car Wash. This role requires strong organizational skills, communication abilities, and understanding of legal processes, procedures, and terminology.

As A Corporate Legal Assistant You Will:

? Prepare claims for General Counsel review by learning and navigating proprietary software systems to extract relevant data, formatting and filtering data, and interpreting the findings into clear memorandums or summary reports
? Communicating with all necessary and convenient company departments and employees on behalf of the General Counsel
? Manage the General Counsel’s calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments
? Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and maintaining the Law Department’s litigation tracking and management system
? Assist with the management of ongoing claims and cases, including tracking deadlines and court dates
? Coordinate and prepare materials for meetings, hearings, and other claims or law related engagements
? Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case law to support the General Counsel
? Summarize findings and prepare reports and memorandums
? Prepare, edit, and process at the direction of supervising attorneys, legal documents, contracts, and correspondence
? Maintain database and files with organized records of all legal documents and correspondence for easy retrieval and reference
? Interact with the general public and answer phones, serving as a primary point of contact for the Law Department
? Communicate regularly with clients, customers, lawyers, witnesses, insurance agents, and courthouse personnel
? Communicate with outside defense counsel and insurance adjusters on claims proceeding to litigation, including tracking statutes of limitations, discovery deadlines, court dates, and coordination of witnesses and discovery
? Maintain a positive attitude, be flexible and dependable, and effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment
? Organize and maintain sensitive information and documents confidentially, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and privileged communication rules
? Provide comprehensive administrative support to the General Counsel, Law Department employees, and company executives when directed

What We Are Looking For In You:

? A minimum of 2 years of experience in a law office or claims adjuster setting

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Office 365, SharePoint, One Drive, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat

? Transcription skills to prepare documents are preferred

? Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and document management systems.
? Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
