Director of Marketing

Location: Onsite, Millersville, MD.

Job Type: Full-Time

About Us

We are a premier home improvement and construction company specializing in high-ticket, trust-based services, including roofing, siding, insulation, windows, and doors. We don’t just upgrade homes; we provide our community with safety, reliability, and energy efficiency. We are looking for a visionary Director of Marketing to take ownership of our entire marketing ecosystem—from high-level strategy and brand stewardship to the daily generation of high-quality leads.

The Role

As the Director of Marketing, you will act as the bridge between our company’s grand vision and our daily revenue generation. You will be the architect of our Strategic Marketing, the guardian of our Brand Management, and the driving force behind our tactical execution. You will not only define who we are targeting and why they should choose us, but you will also oversee the multi-layered channels (digital, ground-level, and traditional) required to win their business.

Whether you are managing external agency partners or guiding our internal team, you will be responsible for lowering customer acquisition costs, commanding our premium market position, and feeding our sales team with qualified opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Marketing & Leadership

● Blueprint the Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that dictate our goals, target audiences, and value propositions for each distinct service line (roofing, siding, etc.).

● Audience Segmentation: Conduct ongoing market research and analysis to deeply understand our local demographics, tailoring messaging to specific homeowner profiles.

● Resource Allocation & KPIs: Manage the marketing budget, establish clear KPIs (Cost-Per-Acquisition, Lead Volume, ROI), and continuously allocate resources to the highest-performing channels.

● Cross-Selling Initiatives: Build strategic campaigns to turn single-service buyers (e.g., roofing) into lifelong customers who return for additional upgrades (e.g., solar and insulation).

2. Brand Management & Positioning

● Guard the Brand Identity: Ensure absolute consistency across every customer touchpoint. From the tone of our social media to the cleanliness of our truck wraps and employee uniforms, you will control how the community perceives us.

● Drive Brand Equity: Position us as the premier, trusted experts in the market so we can confidently command premium pricing and escape the "race to the bottom."

● Reputation Management: Oversee our customer experience loop, implementing aggressive review-collection systems and managing a highly incentivized customer referral program.

3. Digital & Performance Marketing (The Daily Engine)

● Search & Local Dominance: Oversee our digital footprint, ensuring top-tier performance on Google Local Services Ads (LSAs), Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns, and overall Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

● Profile & Directory Management: Maintain perfectly optimized presences on our Google Business Profile (GBP), directory services (Yelp, Angi, etc.), and strategically manage lead aggregators to ensure high lead quality.

● Visual & Social Media: Direct organic and paid social media campaigns (Facebook, Instagram) utilizing high-quality before-and-after content, educational videos, and geo-targeted ads.

4. Ground-Level & Traditional Marketing

● Neighborhood Domination: Coordinate highly localized marketing efforts, including robust direct mail campaigns targeting specific storm-damaged or high-utility-rate zip codes.

● Field Marketing: Oversee the strategy and collateral for our ground-level efforts, including radius marketing (canvassing) routes and professional job site branding (yard signs, fleet wraps).

Qualifications

● Experience: 5+ years of marketing leadership experience, preferably within the home services, construction, or a related high-ticket consumer industry.

● Holistic Marketer: Proven ability to blend high-level brand strategy with hardcore, data-driven lead generation.

● Channel Expertise: Deep understanding of the home services marketing stack (LSA, SEO, PPC, direct mail, canvassing strategies, and social media).

● Leadership: Experience managing a marketing budget, leading internal teams, and holding external vendors/digital agencies accountable for ROI.

● Analytical Mindset: Strong proficiency in CRM software, Google Analytics, and translating raw data into actionable marketing tactics.
