Full Job Description

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce high-quality precision components. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to the production of critical parts used across multiple industries. The ideal candidate is proactive, mechanically inclined, and passionate about precision machining.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machining equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC machining centers to produce parts according to technical specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to ensure accurate fabrication.
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and tolerances in accordance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials on machines while adhering to safety standards in production environments.
Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Maintain detailed records of machine settings, production output, and quality control checks for documentation purposes.
Follow safety protocols rigorously while handling shop tools such as hand tools, stamping presses, press brake machines, and forklift operations when necessary.
Assist with assembly line tasks and materials handling as needed to support overall manufacturing efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing or factory setting.
Strong understanding of mechanical blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
Familiarity with CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or other controller systems is highly desirable.
Knowledge of CAM programming software for toolpath creation and machine setup.
Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measurement tools with high accuracy.
Basic shop math skills including fractions, decimals, geometry calculations necessary for machining tasks.
Experience working with fabrication tools like press brakes or stamping presses is a plus.
Understanding of safety standards in production environments along with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues effectively.
Prior warehouse or manufacturing facility experience that emphasizes quality control, materials handling, packaging, and assembly line operations is beneficial.
