Full Job Description

Patriot Products, LLC is a growing central Indiana company focused on the development of innovative training products for the US military and its allies. We are actively seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to join our expanding product development team.

Responsibilities:

· Conceptualize, design, and develop new products and systems.

· Work with shop technicians during system fabrication and assembly.

· Conduct system functional testing, de-bug and customer acceptance.

· Oversee system integration at customer’s facility.

· Develop and maintain system documentation packages.

· Support customers in the ongoing operation of fielded systems.

· Participate in the conceptualization and cost estimating of new products and systems.

· Any and all other responsibilities as required in support of organizational priorities.

· Occasional travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:

BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience.

3+ years 3D modeling experience with mechanical system design and development
Ability to handle multiple tasks, have excellent attention to detail and be willing and able to learn new technologies quickly
Ability to clearly communicate project goals with customers and internal staff
Successful completion of a drug screen and government background check is required
Must be fully authorized to work in the US

Preferred qualifications:

SolidWorks CAD system experience preferred
Previous experience in the design of automated systems
Experience with pneumatic and electro-mechanically actuated systems and devices
Prototyping/fabrication ability (machining, welding, assembly, etc.)
Quality Management System working experience
PLC/HMI programming and/or troubleshooting
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Project management experience

The offered salary for this position will be based on the individual candidate's experience level.
