Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Real Estate Office Assistant with skills in Accounting to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operations of our real estate office, providing essential support in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and contract management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills, technical accounting knowledge, and a commitment to confidentiality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving real estate organization while honing your expertise and supporting our operational success.

Duties

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using QuickBooks.
Perform detailed account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Support corporate accounting functions by preparing journal entries, conducting account analysis, and assisting with month-end closing procedures.
Handle sensitive confidential information responsibly while maintaining strict adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance standards.

Skills

Strong understanding of Quickbooks online.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with excellent numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills for customer service interactions and team collaboration.
Familiarity with real estate contracts and procedures is a plus.
GA/AL Real Estate license is not required but is preferred.
