Full Job Description

Toes & Tails, one of Ohio’s leading pet care providers has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, and business-minded individual to lead our daycares as a Site Co-Manager. Successful candidates in this role will have significant experience assisting or fully managing one or more daycares/boarding facilities in their background. Experience with training, accountability, and ensuring a great environment and experience for the dogs under your care is paramount.

Toes & Tails has facilities that have been operating for decades, including high-quality pet boarding, engaging dog daycare, pet concierge services, training classes, and full-service grooming.

Loves dogs and has a positive attitude!
2+ years assistant or full management experience in the pet care industry
Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management skills, and attention to detail
Understand what is required of this role in terms of time, on-call, and high-pressure situations
Professional and respectful example of leadership for the team
Knowledge of the safety and sanitation standards and willingness to uphold and enforce them
Ability to handle busy daily schedule and ensure completion of daily goals
Ability to set expectations and hold staff members accountable

Duties:

Assure superior dog care through procedural compliance (SAFETY, SANITATION, ENGAGEMENT)
Interview and hire, accountability, and termination
Manage training of new staff members
Coach, motivate, and train employees
Schedule and resolve scheduling challenges with co-manager
Cover unfilled shifts as required
Work regular desk and weekend shifts (as needed) to ensure smooth operating environment
Provide an excellent customer experience, and resolve issues in a positive, professional manner
Utilize reports and metrics to monitor and manage staff schedules, associated labor costs, and additional operating expenditures
Provide weekly reports to ownership regarding company and staff performance
Manage and maintain supply levels
Assist coordinating supplier schedules (pest control, landscaping, handyman, landlord)
Transport or coordinate transport of dogs to/from vet in cases in emergency
Standardize equipment, branding, procedures, and policies in accordance with franchising needs
