Full Job Description

Weekend Warrior Opportunity: This position is ideal for someone with open weekend availability. Day and/or Night shifts available. Willing to work every weekend or at minimum a set schedule every other weekend

Join our dedicated team as a Youth Direct Care Residential Specialist, where your energy, compassion, and trauma informed approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of youth in our residential program. In this vital role, you will provide safe, nurturing, and structured environments that promote positive growth and development. Your proactive approach will support youth through behavioral challenges, foster healthy relationships, and encourage independence. You will primarily work with females aged 12 to 18, providing consistent support and guidance as they navigate their daily challenges. This position offers an exciting opportunity to empower young individuals while developing your skills in social work, crisis intervention, and behavioral health.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage youth in daily activities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment at all times
Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and resolve conflicts effectively
Administer medication safely following prescribed protocols and maintain accurate medication records
Respond swiftly to crisis or behavioral incidents using crisis intervention techniques to de-escalate situations
Document daily observations, incident reports, and progress notes accurately in data collection systems
Support case management efforts by coordinating with community resources and assisting with home & community care plans

Qualifications

25 years or older
Must pass a BCI/FBI background check
Must have a valid drivers license
Prior experience working with youth or in childcare settings is highly preferred
Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively
Valid first aid certification or willingness to get certified prior to hire date
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, youth, families, and community partners
Ability to maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive information securely

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
