Help Desk Support / Computer Repair Technician

We are a trusted provider of IT support and computer repair services, focused on delivering fast, friendly, and reliable technology solutions to businesses and individuals. We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Help Desk Support / Repair Technician to join our team and provide excellent technical support, customer service, and hardware repair services.

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, customer-focused, professional, and comfortable working in a small business, fast-paced environment. This position includes first-level help desk support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing computer repairs, and assisting clients both remotely and on-site.

Job Responsibilities

Respond to help desk tickets by phone, email, and remote support tools
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on Windows and Mac systems
Perform repairs on desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices
Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and network connectivity
Troubleshoot basic network issues, including routers, switches, wireless access points, cable modems, VLANs, VPNs, and RDP
Assist with Office 365 support, user accounts, email, and basic cloud services
Maintain accurate service records, ticket notes, and documentation
Provide technical support to end users with patience and professionalism
Assist with system upgrades, backups, virus/malware removal, and security measures
Escalate unresolved issues to senior technicians or appropriate departments
Travel to client locations when needed for on-site support and repairs

Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in IT support, help desk support, or computer repair
Experience with Windows and macOS
Knowledge of Office 365, networking basics, and virus/malware removal
Experience with routers, switches, wireless access points, cable modems, VLANs, VPNs, and RDP
Experience with servers, Active Directory, and Group Policy preferred
Strong understanding of computer hardware, diagnostics, and repair
Experience with operating system configuration, reloads, drivers, applications, and updates
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Customer service experience and a positive attitude
Ability to lift and carry computer equipment when needed
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clear driving record
A+ certification or equivalent experience preferred
