Full Job Description

Preferred Living is a luxury brand best known for high quality apartments in Columbus Ohio. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team. This position requires a motivated accountant who will do all things accounting as well as managing the reporting functions to help grow the business and ensure accurate monthly financials. This position is based in the corporate office in Columbus, Ohio.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage the financials including month end/year end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, cash management, bank reconciliations, and adjusting journal entries
Oversee the payables to ensure timely and accurate recording of all accounting data
Monthly processes for credit card expenses and management fees
Understand subledger accounts and their relationship to financials
Process ledger adjustments with feedback to management
Communicate with other departments issues and assist in resolving
Budget and forecasting analysis, including reporting monthly financial reporting to owners and managementKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
3 to 5 years' experience in accounting
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
Must be a problem solver as well as a problem hunter to find areas that need to be improved
Multi-Entity accounting
Strict attention to detail and excellent Excel skills.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred or equivalent work experience considered.
Accounting experience: 3 to 5 years on the job working with income statements, balances sheets beyond AP or AR.

This position requires in-office attendance and is not available for hybrid or remote work.
