Job Overview

Join our dynamic property management team as an Assistant Property Manager specializing in multifamily communities! In this energetic role, you will be the vital link between residents, vendors, and property owners, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional customer service. Your expertise will help create vibrant, well-maintained communities where residents feel valued and at home. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in property management, leasing, and team coordination within a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing leasing activities, including lease or rental agreement management and tenant onboarding processes.
Support property maintenance coordination by communicating with vendors, tracking work orders, and ensuring timely repairs.
Utilize property management tools such as Yardi, AppFolio and Google Sheets(training provided) to update resident records, process rent payments, and generate reports.
Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-tenant law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other legal standards.
Manage CMHA Sec8 tenants
Handle client communication with professionalism via phone, email, and in-person interactions to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Contribute to budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and assisting with financial reporting.
Manage conflict resolution between tenants or vendors using effective conflict management techniques while maintaining positive relationships.

Requirements

Proven experience with property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, and property leasing procedures.
Previous experience in real estate administrative roles or property management companies demonstrating organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and client relationship management abilities.
Ability to handle contracts, negotiation processes, and upselling opportunities confidently while maintaining integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Google Sheets Word, Excel, Outlook) for data entry, filing, reporting, and correspondence.
Demonstrated team management capabilities along with conflict management skills to foster a collaborative work environment.
Office experience supporting facilities management or property maintenance activities is advantageous.
