Full Job Description

Build premium carbon fiber aero from scan to production.

Racing Sport Concepts (RSC) is a fast-growing boutique brand building premium carbon fiber body kits and aftermarket aero upgrades for high-end performance cars. We're known for uncompromising fitment, finish, and an OEM+ design philosophy. We're a small, hands-on team that moves fast — and we're looking for the right engineer to help us scale.

The Role

We're hiring a Product Development Engineer I to help manage and systematize how new products get built. This role is about making projects move: roughly 70–80% project management, 20% hands-on CAD and technical work. You'll turn raw 3D scans into production-ready aero parts and own projects end-to-end — scan → CAD → prototype → production.

You'll work directly with our founder, external designers, and manufacturing partners to accelerate launches and build repeatable systems.

What You'll Do

Manage product development projects in Asana — from scanning to CAD to prototype to production
Operate or direct 3D scanning of cars and parts, then process scan data into usable CAD
Perform CAD work in Blender or Rhino, including working with large mesh files (fitment checks, mounting solutions, revisions)
Write clear engineering and manufacturing notes for suppliers
Document design issues with photos and notes, and communicate them cleanly to a remote team of engineers and designers
Set up and test 3D-printed prototypes, then report issues succinctly to stakeholders
Build repeatable systems that make development faster and more organized

Must-Haves

Located in (or able to commute reliably to) Johnstown, OH — this is an on-site role, no remote option
Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
Proficient in Blender or Rhino, with experience handling large mesh / scan-based files
Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, comfortable with minimal oversight
Naturally curious and genuinely interested in learning
Real passion for cars and aftermarket automotive culture

Nice-to-Haves

Hands-on experience with 3D laser scanning (Creaform, HandySCAN, etc.) and reverse engineering
Experience with 3D printing, CNC machining, or composites prototyping
Familiarity with carbon fiber, foams, metals, and mounting hardware
Background in the automotive aftermarket, or having personally worked on, raced, or modified vehicles
