The Dispensary Retail Manager is responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the dispensary, ensures compliance with state regulations and company policies, as well as ensure overall productivity of the dispensary. The dispensary manager provides support to all dispensary staff including Patient Advisors, Inventory Staff, Security Staff and other Dispensary Agents. This guidance includes scheduling, training, providing policy and procedure updates, keeping updated with industry news and product information. The Dispensary Manager collaborates with the Regional VP of Retail and leadership team to develop, document and implement practices, policies, and strategies that support a performance and results-driven culture. The Dispensary Manger is responsible for ordering and receiving all inventory and products, arranging deliveries, maintaining the agent and facility compliance and cleanliness.

Essential Functions:

Manage operation of the dispensary and team members, opening/closing/changing shifts, task delegation and scheduling team members.
Manage the control of the store cash flow including register counts, withdraws from the bank, armored car pickups, safe deposits, change orders and oversees all aspects of bookkeeping including ledger, invoicing, cash reports and time records.
Analyze inventory trends and oversee inventory management, including ordering items, keeping stock, and leveraging company resources to avoid outs and overstock.
Manage receiving, stocking, pricing, returning, and transferring of merchandise. * Ensures that Dispensary and grounds are clean and presentable; manage repair and maintenance; respond to emergencies.
Manage operations of assigned location including strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain knowledge of all computer and technology systems and software (e.g. registers, POS, etc.). Ensure response to all systems problems by contacting information technology support and seek solutions.
Comply with policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with team members.
Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned, including assisting team members as needed.
Willing to travel to other locations for training and/or coverage.
Assign daily operational responsibilities and tasks and set expectations for Dispensary team members and assistant managers.
Review and analyzes asset protection data and develops and implement action plans to reduce loss.
Manage team member performance by assigning responsibilities, setting goals and expectations, observing performance, providing feedback and giving recognition. Manages employee career progression.
Ensure training of team members; provides coaching and mentoring.
Consult with Human Resources department for needed corrective action plans and execution of disciplinary action.
Promote teamwork and motivate team members by establishing expectations, tracking results, showing enthusiasm, and sharing the vision.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
Must display strict adherence to applicable employment laws, and consistency in fair treatment of all team members always.
Develop and deliver performance management for direct reports, such as training and personal development.
Participate in company and on-the-job training to improve skills and productivity; attend training
Seek self-development by monitoring personal performance, setting high personal standards, learning about the fields of retail and management, seeking best practices.
Communicate regularly with Dispensary team members through one-on-one discussions, group meetings, soliciting input, answering questions, and ensuring the lines of communication are open between management and non-management team members.
Assist in planning and attending community events.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

4-6 years retail sales experience
3-5 years retail management experience
Knowledge of compliance and regulations pertaining to cannabis

Education and Professional Requirements:

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required
Must be 21 or older
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check annually

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
