Accounts Payable Clerk

Oilworks, LLC | Columbus, OH | In Person | Full-Time | $23.00 per hour

About Oilworks, LLC

Oilworks, LLC is a bulk fuel and oil provider serving Central Ohio. As we continue expanding into new markets, we are building a dependable, professional office team that takes pride in its work.

Role Overview

The Accounts Payable Clerk supports the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice entry, payment processing, reconciliations, and vendor recordkeeping. Prior AP or accounting experience is helpful but not required; we are willing to train the right person.

Key Responsibilities

Enter and process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
Code invoices and expenses to the appropriate general ledger accounts
Match receiving documents and purchase orders to vendor invoices
Prepare check and credit card payments for management review and signature
Compile scheduled payment batches based on due dates for approval
Record and track automatic ACH drafts and scheduled electronic payments
Track company credit card receipts
Reconcile vendor statements to accounts payable records
Maintain accurate and organized vendor records
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
Track and maintain W-9 documentation
Provide general administrative support to the accounting team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

Is reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Has strong data entry skills and a high level of accuracy
Is comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Communicates clearly and professionally by phone and in writing
Can manage deadlines, priorities, and recurring responsibilities independently
Works well with others and contributes to a positive office environment

Preferred, But Not Required

Prior experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or office accounting
Experience with QuickBooks Online
Experience working in a distribution business environment

Compensation & Benefits

$23.00 per hour starting pay

Schedule & Location

Full-time, Monday through Friday
8-hour shift starting between 8:00 and 9:00 AM
No weekends
