Full Job Description

Granite Direct is hiring!!!

We are seeking a Production Associate to join our team in Columbus, Ohio! This role is with Ohio's premier stone countertop fabrication and installation company! Granite Direct provides full-service templating, fabrication, and installation of granite, marble, soapstone, quartzite, and quartz countertops.

This position is responsible for drafting jobs in AutoCAD, preparing files for CNC fabrication, conducting digital and physical layouts to ensure cohesive aesthetics and appropriate material yield, and any other tasks associated with the Production Department. This person will also be working with our customers to ensure all details and specifications are gathered and communicated to the sales team and Operations Manager. The Production Associate reports to Granite Direct’s Operations Manager.

Granite Direct is a fast paced company consistently rated one of the top granite fabricators and installers in Ohio.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication of any design issues to the sales team and Production Manager
Drafting in CAD to design and prepare files for CNC fabrication
Conducting digital layouts and working with customers to approve the layouts
Printing manual countertop templates for in-person layouts by request
Professionally interact and communicate with customers to ensure all details are correct and issues are resolved in a timely manner
Assist the Production Team and Operations Manager as needed

Required Skills:

AutoCAD (or similar) experience ideally in a manufacturing industry
Strong Customer Service Skills
Very detail-oriented (Very critical!)
Team Player
Possess mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Possess an understanding of the fabrication and installation process for countertop surfaces
General understanding of the types and qualities of stone countertops (i.e. granite, marble, quartz, quartzite, etc.)
Ability to accurately perform work and deliver results within time constraints
Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate relevant project details of the countertops process with customers
Ability to quickly and efficiently resolve any project issues utilizing the sales team, the production team, the sales team, and the customer

To qualify you must have:

High School diploma or G.E.D., required

Prior experience in manufacturing, countertops, or construction, required

Strong communication skills, required

Compensation:

Job Type: Full-time, salary

Salary: Starting at 55K-65K per year (depending on relevant experience)
