Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient care across diverse healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional nursing services. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing care plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal health outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to work in dynamic environments, including acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and specialized units.

Duties

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews using advanced EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner.
Administer medications and injections with precision, including IV infusions, catheterizations, and suturing procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
Manage complex cases involving trauma medicine, critical care (ICU and Level I/II trauma center experience), and emergency response protocols.
Provide specialized care for patients with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, or those requiring hospice and palliative medicine services.
Perform diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, and medical imaging procedures like sonography or CT scans.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop individualized treatment plans for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and neonatal care.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR/EHR systems while managing patient records efficiently.
Participate in discharge planning, case management activities, and health coaching to promote patient education and recovery continuity.

Experience

Proven experience working as a Registered Nurse in hospital settings such as emergency rooms, ICU, or trauma centers with Level I or II trauma center exposure preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in critical care procedures including ventilator management, airway management, and acute pain management.
Extensive background in medical-surgical nursing with familiarity in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
Experience working with diverse patient groups such as individuals with disabilities or those requiring long-term or home care services.
Knowledge of EMR/EHR platforms like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is essential for effective documentation and workflow management.
Strong understanding of infection control practices alongside aseptic techniques necessary for surgical or sterile procedures like ostomy care or spinal taps.
Prior experience in outpatient clinics or ambulatory surgery centers is advantageous; familiarity with laboratory testing protocols is beneficial.
