Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse – Columbus, OH

Licenses/Certifications: BLS, ACLS (Required)
Experience: Medical-Surgical RN experience required; Hematology/Oncology experience preferred but not required

Pay & Benefits

Pay Rate: $59.18/hour

What You’ll Do

Provide expert nursing care to hematology and oncology patients with diagnoses such as lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemia, sickle cell disease, and other non-hem cancer patients
Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, and manage oncologic emergencies like tumor lysis syndrome and cytokine release syndrome
Monitor patient health via telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response team alerts
Manage IV therapy, blood product administration, and central/Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) line care
Perform patient assessments, medication administration, and assist with special procedures
Ensure infection prevention protocols and patient safety measures are followed consistently
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide optimized patient care

What You Need

Valid Ohio RN license or compact state license
BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
Prior experience in medical-surgical nursing; hematology/oncology experience preferred
Strong skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and patient monitoring
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
