Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Speech Therapist, where your expertise will transform lives by improving communication and swallowing abilities across diverse populations. In this vital role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication disorders. Whether working with pediatric patients in early intervention programs or supporting geriatric patients in outpatient settings, your dedication will foster meaningful progress and enhance quality of life. Duties

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients of all ages, including children in school and early intervention settings, as well as adults with speech impairments or disabilities
Develop personalized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals
Implement therapy techniques to improve articulation, language comprehension, voice quality, fluency, and cognitive-communication skills
Collaborate closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and effective therapy strategies
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems to document assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and patient outcomes accurately
Provide telehealth therapy sessions using secure platforms to reach patients remotely while maintaining high standards of care
Educate patients and families about speech and language development, physiology of speech production, and strategies for ongoing improvement

Requirements

Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the relevant jurisdiction
Proven experience working with children in pediatrics or early intervention programs; experience with school-aged populations is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, anatomy, physiology related to speech production, and medical terminology
Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop effective treatment plans
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across various settings including clinics, schools, or home health environments
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient management
Telehealth experience is preferred; ability to adapt therapy techniques for virtual delivery while maintaining engagement and effectiveness
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging families in the therapeutic process
