Full Job Description

Hello! I'm searching for an IT Analyst for a long term contract role in New Albany, OH. This is a hybrid position and the chosen candidate must be able to work onsite 2-3 days per week. The pay range for this open job is $40-50 an hour (W2) and pay will be determined by experience. You must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship to be eligible for this open role. Position Overview

The Stores Platform Services – IT Analyst will support the ongoing operation, reliability, and evolution of store technology. This position will troubleshoot escalated store incidents, support new store openings and capital projects, and work closely with Engineering, Development, Networking, and external vendors to maintain store technology uptime.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting POS environments, Linux, Android devices, printing solutions, payment devices, and basic networking and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly customer-focused retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain ticket queues for store-related incidents escalated from Tier I Support, Engineering, Development, and Networking teams.
Troubleshoot and support store technology including:
POS registers
Payment devices
Printers and print environments
Handheld devices and tablets
Basic store networking
Support new store openings, providing technical oversight for POS hardware installation and validating hardware configurations and payment processing.
Support capital projects by overseeing technology installations and completing technical validations based on project requirements.
Partner with Engineering and Development teams to identify recurring technical issues, analyze trends, and proactively reduce store technology downtime.
Support a global register fleet running Linux OS and a mobile device fleet running Android OS.
Maintain and troubleshoot print environment settings and configurations.
Coordinate directly with domestic and global technology vendors to ensure stores receive consistent and timely service.
Provide additional operational support during key retail periods, including Spring/Easter, Back-to-School, and the Christmas/Holiday season.
Deliver a high level of customer service while effectively managing competing priorities and technical issues.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience supporting a Point of Sale (POS) technical environment
1+ years of Linux experience
1+ years of Android OS experience
1+ years of print management experience
Experience troubleshooting POS hardware, peripherals, payment devices, mobile technology, and related store systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong attention to detail
Strong customer-service and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, store associates, and external vendors

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will have experience supporting technology across a retail or multi-location environment, with direct exposure to POS systems, Linux-based registers, Android handhelds/tablets, payment devices, printers, ticket management, and basic networking.

This person should be comfortable troubleshooting both hardware and software issues, coordinating with multiple technical teams and vendors, and supporting technology that is critical to day-to-day store operations.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
