Full Job Description

Physical Security Coordinator

Location: Columbus, OH
Work Type: Hybrid — Onsite Tuesday–Thursday; Remote Monday & Friday
Position Type: Contract with potential conversion to permanent

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Physical Security Coordinator to support physical security technology, compliance, reporting, and administrative operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional interested in developing experience in corporate security, compliance, data management, and security technology. Previous physical security experience is not required.

The successful candidate will work with multiple teams to maintain accurate records, analyze and report on data, support audits and access reviews, coordinate projects, and ensure security documentation remains organized and audit-ready.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update physical security records, databases, inventories, and tracking systems.
Perform data entry, validation, and quality assurance reviews to maintain accurate and reliable information.
Support badge access reviews, compliance audits, governance activities, and corrective action tracking.
Create reports, metrics, and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
Assist with SharePoint administration, document management, and security-related procedures and records.
Support project tracking, status reporting, action items, and cross-functional coordination.
Assist with inventory and asset tracking for physical security technologies.
Identify data discrepancies and participate in process improvements that increase efficiency and data quality.

Required Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or a related field.
0–2 years of professional experience; relevant internships are encouraged.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Word, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a hybrid environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience administering or maintaining SharePoint content.
Exposure to Microsoft Power BI or Power Automate.
Experience working with large datasets, reporting, or data validation.
Exposure to audits, compliance, records management, project coordination, corporate security, facilities, technology, or business operations.
Relevant internship or co-op experience.
