Full Job Description

Position Summary

LaserCraft Technologies is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Robot Welder to join our Welding Department. In this role, you'll set up, operate, and program robotic welding equipment to manufacture high-quality metal components while maintaining production standards and following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

Set up robotic welding equipment by mounting and aligning fixtures and attachments
Create and modify robot welding programs to meet production requirements
Load and unload metal parts into robotic welding stations
Inspect finished welds through visual and dimensional checks
Troubleshoot welding, robotic, or part quality issues
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on robotic welding equipment
Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE
Maintain quality and production standards throughout the shift

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred
Six months of manufacturing or welding experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Basic understanding of MIG and/or TIG welding principles
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Experience programming robotic welding equipment is preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements

Lift up to 40 pounds
Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
Push and pull materials weighing up to 40 pounds
Work in a manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled
Ability to work in varying workstations as production needs require
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment where noise levels can be high
