About the Role

We are looking for a lead service tech who can train and support our service techs with their day to day role, as well as, pickup the tasks that are beyond the normal service tech role such as small repairs and maintenance but ideally also perform larger repairs/installations if not right away over time as you learn.

Train new service techs with little to no experience in servicing pools and re-train existing techs as part of continual education and improvement efforts
Help service tech team with tasks such as filter cleans, salt cell cleans, dealing with algae growths, etc
Field questions from service techs as an expert to help them with issues onsite
Perform "Green to Clean" services for new customers onboarded with green pools
Diagnose and repair all types of issues with pool equipment from pumps to filters to sweeps, etc
Diagnose and repair all types of issues with circulation such as pump priming issues
Perform small repairs such as replacing weir gates, autofill float valves, replacing o-rings in filters and valves, seals in pumps, etc
Diagnose issues and/or setup control systems (pump, automation, chlorinator, etc)
If you have the experience, perform install and repair work involving electrical and plumbing (or shadow experts to gain the experience and grow into that role)
Advise owner to help him build the operating playbooks that allow us to work more efficiently and provide the best possible service
Run a partial service route as new customers are added until enough new customers to hire a part-time tech to take over the route
We provide a truck, equipment and phone to perform the duties, and gas

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

Been in the lead service tech role or a senior service tech role in the past
Proven experience with the tasks listed above as part of the role
Experience with installation or repairs involving electrical or plumbing is a plus
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with a variety of pool equipment brands and models
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Ability to swim and safely work around water
Certification in pool equipment repair or related field is a plus

Beyond the experience above, we are looking for someone who:

Brings a wealth of experience and ideas to the table on how to operate but is open to rethinking the way they’ve done things in the past
Is excited to grow their skills and knowledge and be a big part of helping the company grow in not just the customer base but how it operates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
