Full Job Description

Suchocki and Son, Inc is hiring a full time Sr. Civil Project Manager. Ideally, candidate has 4-5 years of experience in DOT, bridge, and concrete construction industry.

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that all office and field operations are planned, coordinated, and executed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, professionalism, and cost control.

Performance Expectations

Ensure all project-related office tasks and field construction activities are managed efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively.
Demonstrate exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to successfully drive projects from inception through completion.
Complete assigned tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring work that impacts other departments is completed accurately, on time, and with minimal supervision.
Represent the Company professionally, respectfully, and responsibly in all interactions with clients, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and team members.
Conduct all business with honesty, integrity, accountability, and a positive attitude while fostering a collaborative work environment.

Essential Job ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Coordination

Serve as the primary liaison between the office, field personnel, project owners, architects, engineers, and designers.
Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and related documents to develop a complete understanding of project requirements.
Collaborate with the Estimator as needed to ensure accurate and timely bid information.
Plan, organize, and oversee all phases of construction from project award through closeout.
Obtain all required permits, approvals, and regulatory documentation prior to construction.
Prepare and submit all project submittals in accordance with contract specifications.
Manage, document, and respond to all Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Clarification (RFCs).

Field Operations

Work closely with the Superintendent to develop and maintain two-week look-ahead schedules.
Coordinate with field leadership to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and subcontractors are available to maintain project schedules.
Monitor field activities to ensure work complies with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and company expectations.
Identify issues early and work with field personnel to implement corrective actions that minimize schedule delays and cost impacts.
Support Project Superintendents and Foremen by recognizing areas where additional guidance or resources are needed to improve productivity, safety, and team collaboration.

Client & Team Communication

Maintain regular communication with project owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and company management.
Provide timely project updates, progress reports, schedule changes, and issue resolutions.
Foster strong working relationships that promote successful project outcomes.

Financial & Administrative Management

Create, review, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) for project-related purchases.
Initiate subcontractor onboarding and verify scope of work, insurance, qualifications, and contract requirements.
Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, quality control plans, and cost tracking.
Submit requisition billing information according to company billing schedules.
Complete and maintain all expense reports and supporting documentation.
Collaborate with the Owner and/or Controller to accurately report project completion percentages for Work-in-Progress (WIP) reporting and job costing.

Scheduling, Quality & Compliance

Develop, maintain, and update project schedules throughout the life of each project.
Coordinate inspections, testing, quality assurance reports, and project punch lists.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes, contract requirements, and company safety policies.
Review and submit all required DBE, SBE, CHRO, and other project-specific compliance documentation.

Technology & Company Procedures

Learn and effectively utilize all company software for scheduling, project management, communication, time tracking, job costing, and documentation.
Accurately clock in and out of projects using company software.
Maintain organized and complete project records throughout the project lifecycle.

Leadership

Assist, mentor, and lead office staff and project team members to achieve project milestones and company objectives.
Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all departments.
Support a culture focused on safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
