Full Job Description

Six Markets. One Person to Own How It Feels to Work Here.

SERVPRO Team Skov is a restoration and construction company operating across six markets in New York, Connecticut, and Maryland. When a business floods at 2 a.m. or a family loses a home to fire, our crews are the ones who show up. Our technicians do hard, meaningful work on some of the worst days of other people's lives.

We are looking for one person to own the experience of working here. From the first phone call with a candidate, through a great first day, through the fifth work anniversary. If you are the person who remembers everyone's birthday, who notices when someone is having a rough week, and who cannot leave a disorganized process alone, keep reading.

This is a new position reporting directly to our President.

What You Will Own

Culture and Recognition You will own the calendar of moments that mark somebody's time here. Birthdays, work anniversaries, the day a technician passes a certification, the day a crew finishes a brutal three week commercial loss. You will know when they are coming, and you will have the card, the gift, and the acknowledgement ready.

You will also solve for distance. We have six markets and you cannot be in all of them, so you will recruit one person in each location to be your hands on the ground, and you will make sure a fifteen year anniversary in Baltimore gets handled the same way it would if it happened down the hall from you.

Onboarding You will make sure nobody has a bad first day. Uniform, phone, tablet, vehicle, building access, and system logins ready before they walk in. A real day one schedule with a name attached to it. Thirty, sixty, and ninety day check-ins that actually happen. You will be the person every new hire knows they can call during their first three months.

Retention You will sit down with our technicians and supervisors at ninety days and again at one year and ask them how it is really going. You will turn what you hear into a monthly report for our President with themes, patterns, and recommendations. This is the most important part of the job. We would rather keep great people than replace them, and you will be the one who tells us how.

Recruiting Coordination You will own our recruiting platform end to end. Postings, applicant flow, screening against criteria you build with each hiring manager, scheduling, and candidate communication. You will not conduct the hiring interviews, our managers do that, but every candidate's experience runs through you. Nobody waits three days for a callback on your watch.

Executive Support You will support our Leadership Team directly with calendar, travel, and meeting logistics. This is a defined part of the role, not the whole of it, and it puts you close to how decisions get made here.

What We Are Looking For

Three or more years coordinating people, programs, or events in a role where you dealt with people face to face every day
Your industry does not matter. Hotel and restaurant management, event coordination, dental or medical practice management, school or student life, gym or club management, nonprofit programs. If you have kept a lot of plates spinning for a lot of people, we want to talk to you
HR credentials are not required. We will teach you our systems
A track record of building something from scratch rather than running someone else's playbook
The ability to juggle several deadlines at once without dropping anything, because you will have recruiting, onboarding, and an event calendar running at the same time
Strong writing. You will be drafting announcements and recognition language for our leaders to deliver
Complete discretion. You will see compensation, performance, and personnel information, and it stops with you
Comfortable with scheduling and reporting tools. Microsoft Teams and Office required, Indeed experience a plus
Valid driver's license and clean driving record, and a willingness to travel to our six markets including occasional overnight stays and evening events

You Will Probably Love This Job If

You genuinely like people and it shows within thirty seconds of meeting you. You are the one who organizes things nobody asked you to organize. You would rather be trusted with something new than handed a manual. You want to work somewhere your fingerprints are visible.

You Will Probably Not Love This Job If

You want to stay behind a desk. You need every process defined before you start. You prefer working with spreadsheets more than people.
