Job Summary:
The Traffic & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate receiving, documentation, inventory transactions, and coordination of transportation to support production schedules and customer deliveries.
What you will be doing
Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments
Verify, inspect, and receive materials against purchase orders and packing slips
Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately in ERP/WMS systems
Schedule freight pickups and deliveries to meet production and customer deadlines
Communicate shipment status, delays, and discrepancies to relevant teams
Maintain organized records of bills of lading, invoices, and receiving logs
Ensure compliance with company safety standards and shipping regulations
Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse organization
What will make you successful?
Required Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED
2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or manufacturing operations
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills are required.
Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment
Effective communication and problem-solving skills
This position operates in both office and warehouse settings and may require standing, lifting, and coordination with production teams in a manufacturing facility.
Must be able to read and understand basic commands in English
Must be able to read, understand, and follow all work and safety instructions
